Frequently asked questions

Where is parking for blue badge holders?

The Blue Badge Scheme is an important service for people with severe mobility problems that enables badge holders to park close to where they need to go. The scheme operates throughout the UK, and is administered by local authorities who deal with applications and issue badges.

We offer our Blue Badge visitors 30 minutes free parking in the Premium Set Down car park. To take advantage of this service, when you’re ready to leave take your entry ticket and Blue Badge to the NCP Customer Service Office, which you’ll find in the Premium Set Down car park, and that 30 minutes will be validated to you. If you’re going to be longer than 30 minutes, you’ll find that normal tariff charges apply and you will be charged.

If you want to use the Blue Badge parking bays in Car Parks 1, 2, 3 or 5 but do not want to leave your own blue badge in your vehicle, you’ll first need to present your Blue Badge to the customer service desk located on premium set down car park. You’ll be asked to fill in a form, and then be provided with a temporary permit to display in your vehicle windscreen, allowing you to continue your journey without incurring a Parking Charge Notice for not displaying a Blue Badge.

How can I change my car parking booking?

Your car parking booking can be changed through the details on your confirmation email, or on your online account. Please have the booking reference from your original booking available if possible as this helps to track your order.

Are red routes in operation at this Airport?

Yes red routes are in operation around the airport site in order to maintain the safety of our passengers, visitors and staff. Drivers are prohibited to stop, unload or park on the red routes, which are clearly marked around the airport roads via signage and double red road markings. Vehicle monitoring and 24hr ANPR camera enforcement is in place, with an enforcement charge of £100.

Where can I park my car?

We have a choice of car parks to suit your budget and travel plans.

For dropping-off passengers, use either the ‘Drop Off’ car park located just 400 metres from the terminal, or the 'Premium Set Down' area immediately outside the terminal.

Premium Set Down offers convenient parking for those dropping off passengers and costs just £4 for the first 15 minutes.

The Drop Off is not only convenient for access to the main terminal, but it’s also free for up to 10 minutes , saving you time and money. The main terminal can be reached on foot via a covered walkway, within 5 to 10 minutes. Passengers can also make use of the regular free bus service that operates between our car parks and the terminal. Please note that Drop Off has a no return within one-hour policy in place.

For picking up passengers, use Car Parks 1, 2 or 3. These are located conveniently near the arrivals area and the tariffs start from £7.50 for up to 30 minutes.

Where can I park my motorbike?

There’s a dedicated parking area for motorbikes in Car Park 2. The car park is signposted on our access roads. Simply follow the signs to Car Park 2 and take the first left after the entry barriers. You will see a designated sheltered area for motorcycles.

Please do not park motorbikes in other car parking spaces as you may be charged the full parking rate. Please note that anchor points are not available and that for security reasons, motorcycles will be removed if not parked in the designated areas.

Can I cancel or amend my booking?

The Express Security Lane Services booked by you is only valid for the date specified in your Booking Confirmation. Changes or cancellations can only be made to your booking if more than 24 hours before the booked date of travel.
